It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like the End of the Semester

It really hasn’t yet hit me that I’m done with my last final of the semester and that I’m heading back home tomorrow for Christmas. It seems like I don’t even remember this semester since it flew by.

This fall, I made it a priority to be more appreciative. I got so much more out of everything that I did with the mindset of “I don’t have to do this; I get to do this.”

I Thought I Was A City Girl…

I was one of those teenagers who, upon high school graduation, wanted to “get out of this small town.” I wanted to live in a big city where I could walk to work and always have something fun to do or new to try.

I enjoyed just walking around the main strip of each city to which my family would go on a day trip. When I went to London, I loved walking all over and finding hidden gems in the city.

Why can’t I feel that way in my hometown?

Maybe it’s because I wasn’t giving thanks for it.
